AI Anytime

Support

Free has a cost. This is who covers it.

Paid training pays for most of the work here. Sponsorship pays for the parts no client is funding — compute, maintenance, research, and the campus workshops that are free because they have to be.

Where it goes

Six lines, not a mission statement.

01

GPU access

Compute for builders who cannot afford it, and for the fine-tuning and quantisation experiments the tutorials are built on.

02

Research and publication

Preprint costs, peer review fees, and the experiment time behind papers like MCP Guardian.

03

Open-source maintenance

Keeping 270+ repositories running as SDKs change underneath them, plus bounties on the ones that need real work.

04

Workshops and bootcamps

Free AI literacy sessions at schools and colleges that cannot fund a paid program.

05

Conference and travel grants

Getting community members to conferences to present, not just attend.

06

Infrastructure

Hosting, cloud credits, Discord moderation tooling, and the datasets and model checkpoints we publish.

FAQ

Sponsorship questions

How is AI Anytime funded?

Two sources. Paid training engagements — faculty development programs, courses, masterclasses, and workshops — cover most of it. GitHub Sponsors covers the rest: compute, publication costs, and the open-source maintenance that no client is paying for.

Why sponsor when the material is already free?

Because keeping it free has a cost. Every repository has to be re-run and patched as model APIs change, and the free campus workshops do not pay for themselves. Sponsorship is what stops those being the first things cut.

Where does sponsorship money actually go?

The six areas listed on this page: GPU access, research and publication, open-source maintenance, free workshops, travel grants, and infrastructure. Nothing is spent on advertising.

Can my company sponsor rather than an individual?

Yes. GitHub Sponsors handles organisation accounts, and company sponsors can be recognised on the partners page. For anything involving logo placement, event branding, or co-marketing, use the partners page instead — that is a different conversation.

Do sponsors get anything in return?

Recognition, and honest answers about what your money did. Sponsorship does not buy influence over what gets taught or published, and it does not buy a review.

Is there another way to help that is not money?

Several, and they are often worth more. Contribute to a repository, take on one of the open research problems, answer questions in Discord, or invite us to run a session at your campus.
